AI Crop Disease and Pest Detection on WhatsApp
A farmer sends a crop photo on WhatsApp. Ganak's AI photo check suggests the likely disease or pest and prepares a draft reply, which the dealer reviews, edits and sends. Sugarcane today.
Disease and pest detection from a photo
Ganak's own photo check sorts a crop photo into disease, pest or healthy and lists up to three likely causes with a confidence percentage. The reply is built from a reviewed knowledge base, not an improvised chatbot answer for every photo.
- How to confirm it in the field
- Reply in Hindi
- Other likely causes when unsure
Nothing is sent without the dealer
The AI only prepares a draft. It lands in the dealer's inbox; the dealer can change the disease or pest, ask for a new draft or write their own, and then sends it to the farmer. The dealer decides dose and price.
Text and voice questions too
Farmers can write or speak in Hindi, Hinglish or English. A voice note is turned into text for the dealer to read.
Safety rules
In text and voice replies the AI never gives a dose; the shop does. Replies always ask the farmer to confirm with their shop or KVK, and banned pesticides are never named.
Common questions
Which crops does it cover?
Sugarcane today. Other crops will be added once their reviewed knowledge is ready.
Does it replace an agronomist?
No. It is guidance and an estimate. A photo result comes with a confidence percentage and the dealer reviews it before it reaches the farmer.
Does the farmer need an app?
No, only WhatsApp.
