Ganak (formerly Ganna Saathi) is an app for agri-input dealers, which also carries WhatsApp messages between a shop and its farmers. It is operated by NC Agri Solutions.

What we collect

Shops: shop and staff names, phone numbers, and the sales, credit, stock and purchase records they enter, including photos of supplier bills.

Farmers: name, phone number, crop details, purchases and balance with the shop, and the messages, photos and voice notes sent on WhatsApp.

How we use it

To run the shop's records, to send the messages a shop asks us to send, and to prepare a draft answer to a farmer's question. The draft is shown to the shopkeeper first, who reviews, edits and sends it. Some of this uses automated (AI) services, which receive the text of the question, photos and relevant shop details. Phone numbers are not sent to AI services.

Who sees it

A farmer's data is visible to the shop they joined and to us for support. We do not sell data. Messages travel through WhatsApp (Meta) and are subject to Meta's terms.

Stopping messages and deletion

To stop messages, send "मिटाओ" on WhatsApp. To have your data deleted, email [email protected] or message WhatsApp +91 82730 86559. A shop may keep records it needs in its own books.

Security

Data is stored on servers we control, with access limited to the shop's staff and us. No system is perfectly secure.
